Updated onWhat is ODO?
ODO (One Day Only) is a space centered around real-time topic group chats. Using random accounts and daily resetting public nicknames, you join same-language rooms or create your own topic rooms.
Do I need to register an account?
When entering for the first time, you can pick a language and create a random account without entering your name, phone number, or email. Existing accounts can log in with bound credentials. The onboarding process creates and saves a random account, so it is not a completely account-free service.
What does "daily resetting identity" mean?
You create a persisting random account. Public nicknames reset daily based on UTC date; changing nicknames does not create a new account. The public nickname is a display name, not an authentication credential, and is not guaranteed to be unique.
What disappears after 24 hours?
Rooms exist for at most 24 hours from creation, and may close earlier if disbanded by host, inactivity timeout, or moderation. Closure clears room data, memberships, report evidence, and handling logs. Account, device credentials, membership, and payment info are retained independently from rooms; room closure does not mean these records are deleted.
Can I view past chat history?
Standard messages are delivered only in real-time with no offline history; missed messages will not be backfilled. The current device shows received messages only while the room is open.
Are private rooms safer? Is there end-to-end encryption?
Private rooms require a room number and password to join and do not appear in public discovery lists; hosts can also require admission approval. ODO does not provide end-to-end encryption and cannot prevent participants from taking screenshots, copying, or saving content.
What can I do if I feel uncomfortable?
You can block members, report messages, or leave the room. Hosts can mute, remove members, pause joins, or disband the room. Reports preserve necessary evidence for review, but cannot guarantee prevention of all inappropriate behavior.
Can I directly share personal contact details?
We do not recommend sharing identifying info in stranger group chats. Rules restrict certain contact details and advertising links, but automated filtering cannot catch all risks; please avoid sending passwords, IDs, addresses, payment information, or private photos.
Does the official website show my topics or chats?
This official site provides only product explanations and editorial guides. It never displays user topics, room numbers, chats, accounts, or payment records. The chat application is located at app.odo.chat.
What are the rules for memberships and payments?
Specific benefits and payment availability are subject to what is currently displayed in the application. This official site does not publish unverified package prices or purchasing commitments.
Features and availability are subject to in-app status.
